Oxidative cleavage of carbon-carbon multiple bonds is readily achieved through ozonolysis.  At Bridge Organics, ozonolyses can be run in batch mode for small amounts of substrate, or as a continuous, counter-flow reactor for larger amounts.  In the latter case, up to 5 moles of substrate/hour can be processed, with the post-ozonolysis reaction stream being directed to a quench tank where various work-ups (oxidative or reductive) can be performed.  We utilize specific ventilation and scrubbing equipment to ensure safe and environmentally friendly operation.
